Community Action Marin Launches 4th Annual Dream House Raffle
SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Aug. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- On Wednesday, September 1, 2010, Community Action Marin will launch its 4th Annual Dream House Raffle, benefiting low-income individuals, children, senior citizens and those in-need in Marin County, California.
Community Action Marin is a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) social service agency serving and assisting Marin residents in achieving a life of quality based on self-sufficiency. Continually serving Marin County since 1966, the agency currently operates 14 programs at 24 sites county-wide.
The Dream House Raffle is an innovative approach to funding Community Action Marin's social service programs, which enables one person to win a 3600 square foot, $2 Million Dream House in San Rafael, California, or $1.5 Million in cash as a Grand Prize. There are over $350,000 in additional cash prizes paid out through the Raffle, with all proceeds benefiting the individuals, families and children most in need in Marin County.
This year's Dream House is located at 7 Leona Drive in San Rafael, California.
Raffle ticket sales will officially begin on September 1, 2010 with Community Action Marin's "Media Day" event. Representatives from all media outlets are invited to join us and tour this spectacular 2 million dollar "Dream Home" in the heart of Marin County, enjoy lunch, and meet the members of Marin's oldest provider of social services and innovators of this unique fundraising event.
Executives from Wells Fargo Bank, Comcast, and the Marin Independent Journal will also be on hand as event sponsors to answer questions and promote the Raffle. On-site parking and utility services will be provided to media vans and camera crews. Additional print media services, i.e. internet, fax, and phone, will also be provided. Extended or additional hours may be obtained by appointment.
