CommunityConnect HealthPlan Appoints Director of Field Operations

MILWAUKEE, July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- CommunityConnect HealthPlan announced today the appointment of Bruce Kruger as director of field operations. In his role Kruger will be responsible for regional operations, including provider relations, network development and implementation, community-based marketing, member outreach and health education and management programs.

With a career that spans more than 20 years in the health care industry, Kruger has successfully led strategic growth efforts in hospitals, integrated health systems and physician medical groups.  Prior to joining CommunityConnect, Kruger served as executive vice president for the Medical Society of Milwaukee County.

Kruger received his bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and holds a master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado.

Kruger's appointment comes just as the State has completed the process for certification and executed a contract with CommunityConnect. In April, the plan was one of four selected by the Department of Health in Wisconsin to serve more than 240,000 enrollees in BadgerCare Plus in Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Waukesha, Washington and Ozaukee Counties beginning in September.

CommunityConnect benefits will be offered by Compcare Health Services Insurance Corporation, whose parent company's State Sponsored Business division has provided managed health care benefits in ten states to more than 1.7 million individuals who qualify for state funded programs including Medicaid, State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) and high risk pools.
