Compass Efficient Model Portfolios (CEMP) Launches Commodity Volatility-Weighted Index
CEMP Enhanced Indexes
First broad market indexes to combine fundamental criteria and volatility/risk weighting
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Compass Efficient Model Portfolios announced today that it has launched its ninth new index this year which are all calculated by S&P Dow Jones Indices. The newest index to be launched is the CEMP Commodity Volatility Weighted Index (Ticker: CEMPCOM).
This CEMP Commodity Volatility Weighted Index consists of the twenty most liquid commodity markets (including cattle, gold, natural gas, wheat and more) with holdings equally weighted solely based upon their risk/volatility and not their production.
The CEMP Volatility Weighted Indexes began calculating in June of 2000. Due to the broad market enhancement of all the CEMP Indexes, this proprietary methodology is patent pending (Serial No. 61/645,370). For more information, see the individual CEMP Index Fact Sheets at www.CEMPIndex.com.
