Compensation Consultant’s Clients Top TSR List
NEW YORK, Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Lyons, Benenson & Company Inc. ranks first in Equilar's Three-Year Total Shareholder Return chart within the research firm's annual compensation consultant market share report.
In its 2010 Consultant League Report(1), executive compensation research firm Equilar, Inc.® researched market share for pay consultants with at least five board engagements at companies in the Russell 3000 Index®. The firm then compared several key financial metrics, taken from company filings. The top-ranked firm in Equilar's "Three-Year Total Shareholder Return (TSR)" chart is New York-based executive compensation consultant Lyons, Benenson & Company Inc. (LB&Co.)
"If I were asked to choose which list of financial metrics to lead, it would be Three-Year TSR," said Harvey L. Benenson, Managing Director of LB&Co. Other financial metrics in the report include; Revenue, Market Capitalization, Net Income, Total Assets and One-Year TSR. "Our publicly-held clients may not be the largest companies in the world, but our approach to each assignment is consistent, regardless of the firm's size," Benenson continued.
Benenson explained that TSR is one of the metrics LB&Co. uses when helping Compensation Committees select peer groups for comparative purposes in determining executive pay practices. "In a publicly-held company, TSR must be considered to some degree when gauging that company's performance relative to its peers," said Benenson.
LB&Co. is an independent compensation consultant specializing in Executive and Director Compensation for public and private companies in both the for- and not-for-profit sectors.
