
Comprehensive Bleeding Disorders Center Opens Office in Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, Ill., Nov. 10, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Comprehensive Bleeding Disorders Center (CBDC) has opened a Springfield office at 5220 S. 6th Street., Suite 2600, to serve the needs of patients in downstate Illinois with bleeding and clotting disorders. The facility provides diagnosis, treatment, education, advocacy and community outreach.
Patients with undiagnosed conditions such as von Willebrand disease and Hemophilia can suffer serious consequences if left untreated. Until this facility was opened, patients and their families have had to travel several hours for ongoing treatment of bleeding and clotting disorders. The Springfield office of CBDC is a division of the main branch in Peoria.
Under the leadership of Dr. Osvaldo Wesly, CBDC is committed to meeting the needs of all patients including the minority population. Dr. Wesly is multi-lingual and speaks fluent Spanish enabling him to serve the growing Hispanic population.
