Compressus Enters Software Licensing Deal to Drive Healthcare IT Integration

 

WASHINGTON, Nov. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Compressus Inc., a leader in healthcare  interoperability and workflow solutions, today announced it has selected IBM software to connect radiology systems seamlessly with other healthcare systems to help physicians be more efficient, increase patient safety, and  improve patient outcomes.

Medical images are driving rapid growth of digital information that must be integrated throughout healthcare systems so they can be used to generate more insight on patient care. Clinical images are expected to account for 52 percent of digital data due to increased use of digital imaging, according to Enterprise Strategy Group. While healthcare providers struggle to keep up with the exponential growth of digital images, they are also in need of new ways to ensure these images can be shared quickly and efficiently among clinicians, and that important radiology data can be accessed as part of electronic health records, and clinical and financial systems.
