Compunetics Purchases a New Electrical Probe Tester
Enables Wide Range of In-House Testing Capabilities
MONROEVILLE, Pa., Feb. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Compunetics, Inc. a leading manufacturer of rigid, flexible, and rigid-flex printed circuit boards, is pleased to announce the purchase and installation of a new Microcraft E4M6151 moving probe tester. This new equipment gives Compunetics the ability to test high density rigid and flexible bare boards down to a pitch of 100 microns, maintaining the quality of product while decreasing the production cycle time. This offering is important in the quick-turn, high density PCB markets such as defense, aerospace, communication, high speed computing, medical, and semiconductor spaces.
"This investment is yet another means to help Compunetics support its goal of providing our customers with quality product, on-time, every time," said Dr. Pierluigi Benci, Compunetics General Manager. "With the continued reduction in active component sizes, this purchase offers Compunetics testing capabilities of leading edge products into the next decade. Testing a vast array of board technologies, including fine pitch BGA, flip-chip, wire-bond attach, and buried-resistors, Compunetics now has the ability to bring these product types to market even faster."
