The report "Wireless Expense Management: Control International Roaming and the BYOD Revolution," demonstrates how Best-in-Class companies are currently able to reduce wireless expenses by over 25% through a centralized and rationalized approach. The report further points out that these Best-in-Class performers achieved average costs of $58 per user, per month, while Laggards had costs of $96 per user per month.

Other  findings included that Best-in-Class companies have reduced their mobile costs per user by 28%, average just one support employee per 1,600 handheld mobile devices, and were 6% under budget for wireless expenses, representing an average savings of $160,000 per year.

"Our research found there are multiple areas for cost reduction, but too many companies are willing to settle for the status quo," said Hyoun Park, Research Editor at Aberdeen Group. "However, in this era of fiscal responsibility, companies conducting due diligence throughout their organization must optimize the cost structure of enterprise mobility," Park added.
