Mr. Benton's unparalleled experience in the industry includes: $5 billion in multifamily development and financial investment; overseeing operations of 10 Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) syndicated investment funds; the workout and restructure of $2.1 billion in property and financial restructures; and the portfolio asset management of over 130,000 LIHTC and subsidized units across the United States including Puerto Rico and Hawaii.
Prior to joining Concourse, Mr. Benton, was the Director of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Multifamily Program Center in Miami, FL overseeing major public private partnership (P-3) initiatives and federal multifamily housing programs. Prior to that, he served as Vice President at PNC Bank Multifamily Special Assets (LIHTC) where he restructured equity and renovated LIHTC properties throughout the country. His other private sector experience includes managing property workouts for a $2.1 billion residential portfolio and overseeing syndicated and un-syndicated LIHTC investment funds.
