CARLSBAD, Calif., Oct. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Source Intelligence today announced it has become an official vendor member of the Conflict-Free Sourcing Initiative (CFSI) to further facilitate the exchange of supply chain data and technical information in the quest for global ethical sourcing of materials.
The CFSI, an initiative of the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC), made Source Intelligence its first official vendor member following years of collaboration between the two organizations to help create comprehensive databases and supply chain tracking systems that identify smelters and refiners that are not processing minerals used to fund deadly conflicts in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
"Source Intelligence is dedicated to our mission to secure verifiable data to meet the rigorous compliance standards for responsible mineral procurement," said Leah Butler, CFSI Program Director. "We are happy to include Source Intelligence in our network. They are a valued partner."
Source Intelligence's® cloud-based SaaS-based supply chain transparency platform is used by companies worldwide to meet growing international regulations, demands by investors and consumers for increased corporate social and environmental responsibility, and to conclusively validate corporate compliance efforts with suppliers.
"Source Intelligence's mission is to make the world a better place. We are proud to be the first vendor member of CFSI and look forward to collaborating with member companies in their quest to seek solutions, gain information and affect positive change around the globe," said CEO Jess Kraus.
