Contagious And BSSP Bring Now / Next / Why To San Francisco
Experts discuss why marketers should be Obsessing Experience
SAN FRANCISCO, May 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Contagious, in partnership with Sausalito-based Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners (BSSP), will host a one-day conference in San Francisco on June 9th as part of their ongoing Now / Next / Why event series.
Now / Next / Why presents a curated view of the trends impacting marketing now, what marketers should be thinking about next, and why brands and their agencies must continue to evolve their marketing toolbox. For the 2015 event, Contagious and its partners will focus on Obsessing Experience, discussing in detail the importance of the customer's experience with a brand as a vital consideration for marketers in their efforts to create loyal consumers with an emotional connection to their brand, product or service.
"There have been continual conversations about digital, shopper and omnichannel marketing," says Edward Cotton, Director of Strategy & Innovation at BSSP. "We want to put more focus back on actual customer and brand interaction and experience. This Contagious series does that so well, which is why we chose to partner with them and bring it to San Francisco."
The San Francisco event will feature a lineup of proven leaders in the marketing and brand experience spaces, including:
- Tom Raith, Portfolio Director for Brands, IDEO
- Doug Ziewacz, Head of NA Media & Advertising, Under Armour
- Tom Marchant, Co-founder, Black Tomato, a personalized travel company
- Anna Pickard, Editorial Director, Slack, a new platform for team communication
- Ben Jones, Creative Director, Agency Team, Google
- Derrick Lewis, Communications & Retail, Rapha, a cycling-products company
- Matt Watkinson, author of The Ten Principles Behind Great Customer Experiences
Additional speakers include members of the Contagious Insider consultancy, including Chris Barth, Nick Parish and Arif Haq. Leaders from BSSP will guide sessions and facilitate discussions.
"BSSP has a reputation of putting people at the heart of its work for brands—for MINI, Converse, Priceline and others," said Nick Parish, President, Americas, at Contagious. "We've always had a huge amount of respect for the thinking shared via its Influx channel and now it's helping make the inaugural West Coast Now / Next / Why a knockout."
The daylong event will conclude with a hands-on workshop, where attendees will be asked to take the day's learnings and apply them to a marketing challenge faced by a local San Francisco organization (to be revealed on the day).
Now / Next / Why San Francisco will take place at the Golden Gate Club in the Presidio on June 9th from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Reservations can be made at sf.nownextwhy.com.
