Cook County Bar Association (CCBA) lays out case for place at the table during F.O.P. negotiations
CCBA hosts press conference February 28 to discuss request to city
CHICAGO, Feb. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Cook County Bar Association (CCBA) will host a press conference, on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 10:30 a.m., regarding its outreach to Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the city, requesting a seat at the table during the Fraternal Order of Police (F.O.P.) contract negotiations.
The current agreement with the F.O P., negotiated during the tenure of Garry McCarthy, ends June 30th of this year. The CCBA has contacted Mayor Emanuel formally requesting an opportunity to observe all negotiations related to the F.O.P. Contract.
Throughout its 102-year history, the CCBA has been a conduit to the community for issues impacting law and order in the city of Chicago. The integrity and expertise of the CCBA places the organization in a unique position to communicate and advocate for Chicago citizens.
