CooperSurgical Launches the New MityOne® Vacuum-Assisted Delivery System

TRUMBULL, Conn., Feb. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- CooperSurgical, makers of the trusted Mityvac®, announced today the release of the new MityOne Vacuum-Assisted Delivery System for vaginal and C-section deliveries. This one-piece VAD device is available with a choice of bell and mushroom-style cups that are among the gentlest and most effective in the industry.

The MityOne vacuum pump will not exceed recommended suction levels of 58 cmHg, providing precise control and safe pressure throughout the delivery procedure. With the release trigger positioned closer to the operator, it is simple to reach and disengage as needed. The pump creates vacuum with minimal effort, and no assistant is required.

MityOne works in conjunction with the MitySoft® Bell Cup and M-Style® Mushroom® Cup, both highly effective yet gentle designs. The M-Style Mushroom Cup has a proven success rate of up to 97% with laceration rates averaging less than 1.59%. The semi rigid MitySoft Bell Cup reduces the risk of pop-offs while providing the pulling power of a mushroom cup. Both cups have an integrated filter that allows for 360-degree air movement to secure traction levels.
