CoreTech Foundation creates IT solution for The Painted Turtle
SANTA MONICA, Calif., April 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- What if there was a better way to do what you're already doing day-in and day-out? That was the problem facing The Painted Turtle as they looked for an IT system to improve their overall daily operations.
The Painted Turtle -- a camp for children with serious medical conditions founded by Paul Newman -- decided to find a solution by reaching out to CoreTech Foundation, an organization helping nonprofits realize their ideas through technology.
Together, they implemented a new software program that not only streamlined the camp's daily activities, but will ultimately make them more efficient in the long-term.
"The system, which is referred to as 'Shell', will also help protect sensitive camper information, as well as track camper health data effectively," said Chris Butler, Chief Executive Officer of The Painted Turtle.
"Not only did CoreTech develop a system that is technologically nimble and lightning fast, but it improves our efficiency, is adaptable to our changing needs, and provides easy and secure access to our users," Butler said.
"CoreTech listened to our requests and elevated our expectations. We are thrilled with the work they have done and are beyond grateful for their expertise."
"The goal was to provide a software system that provided as seamless an experience as possible for staff, campers, parents, on-site medical personnel and anyone else using the system," said Clark Hogan, president and CEO of CoreTech Foundation.
"It's a common dilemma in the nonprofit world -- expending valuable time and money troubleshooting problems caused by poor IT," Hogan said. "We were happy to provide them with a solution that has immediate and long-term benefits and look forward to introducing more cutting edge technologies to the camp in the future."
The Painted Turtle and CoreTech Foundation began working on Shell last fall and have migrated from the old system to the new one over the past two months. To learn more about Shell and CoreTech Foundation, please visit http://coretechfoundation.org.
