Coronal Development Services Promotes Danny Van Clief to Executive Vice President

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. and GLENDALE, Calif., July 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Coronal Development Services, LLC (CDS), the development unit of Coronal Group (Coronal), announced the promotion of Danny Van Clief to Executive Vice President. In his new role, Mr. Van Clief will assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations of CDS, which develops large-scale photovoltaic (PV) solar power plants from origination through construction and operation.

CDS was formed in January 2015 when Coronal Group, a Panasonic Eco Solutions Partner (Panasonic), acquired the majority of the assets of HelioSage Energy. Together with Panasonic, Coronal owns a portfolio of operational solar facilities in North America of over 120 megawatts (MW). The HelioSage acquisition added in excess of 300 MW of projects with signed Power Purchase Agreements and more than 1.5 gigawatts of projects in development.

Mr. Van Clief joined HelioSage in 2008, and quickly became an integral part of the management team, focusing primarily on growth strategies and new business. As EVP, Business Development, he directed the addition of more than 400 MW of executed contracts with utilities across the United States, including Duke Energy, Dominion Resources, Georgia Power, the Tennessee Valley Authority, and more.
