Corporate Network Services Changes Ownership

POOLESVILLE, Md., Oct. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- After 20 years of working at Corporate Network Services (CNS), Karen Kalantzis has decided to sell her shares and step away from the company that she helped found.  Karen started the company with her partner in the summer of 1993 out of the basement of her Montgomery Village townhouse.  Moving to Poolesville in 1994, Karen was focused on integrating CNS into the Poolesville community through partnerships, sponsorships and charitable donations.  Karen was instrumental in creating the Community Counts program within CNS that allowed employees to channel their desire to give back to the community through events such as soup kitchens, park, and farm cleanups.  Responsible for the marketing department, Karen worked to make sure that CNS was portrayed in the community as a trusted brand.

After 20 years as CEO of this successful technology company, raising a family and mentoring countless employees on what it takes to be successful in the business world, Karen decided to follow her dream in fashion design.  She is looking to pursue a position in marketing-consulting or sales in the clothing industry.  "This has been my love since the 6^th grade when I told my home-economics teacher that I wanted to be a department store buyer," said Karen.  "These last 20 years have certainly been an amazing and wonderful time in my life!  Launching this company and seeing it grow and working with all of the fabulous people has been an incredible experience.  I have especially loved all the personal celebrations along the way too – all the weddings, babies, new houses, and diplomas I was invited to celebrate.  I feel honored and privileged to have worked with everyone at CNS."
