Country Legend Tanya Tucker to Norway July 26th of 2013

Tanya Tucker is finally confirmed to Countryfestivalen Seljord. It is with great pleasure the festival informs that one of the biggest personalities in country music will return to this year's festival.

For the next weeks, the festival will launch up to 25 national and international artists for the four- day long festival. This year, the festival celebrates their 15^th year anniversary at the beautiful spot "Dyrskuplassen" in Seljord.  Each year the festival draws over 25,000 country enthusiasts to Telemark county in the southern part of Norway, where camping, country music, line dancing and holiday spirit leaves its mark on an otherwise quiet village. The Countryfestival Seljord 2013 takes place between 24^th and 28^th of July.

Host Morten Vestly confirms that Tanya Tucker is finally back at the festival. "The concert with Tanya Tucker is one of the major highlights of the festivals' history, and we have since had extremely high demand to get Tucker back to Norway. When we got the opportunity to book Tanya Tucker to this year's festival, we had to react. In her previous visits, both audiences, reviewers and promoters have shown great enthusiasm for the beautiful country legend, and we are proud to meet the public's desire for a return from the U.S.

Tanya Tucker was born in Texas, USA in 1958, and discovered early that she had a talent for music. When she was 13 she was introduced to the legendary music producer Billy Sherril. Sherril gave Tucker a record deal and released her first single, "Delta Dawn". By the time she was 15, she had released more than 10 singles, been nominated for the American Music Awards "Grammy" and been on the cover of the music magazine Rolling Stone. Since then she has come out with 31 albums, performed at the Super Bowl and won prestigious awards such as "Country Music Association's Female of the Year".
