ShopAtHome.com's findings mirror device sales statistics reported by IDC analysts in this recent report. IDC's analysts noted that the smart connected device market expansion in 2012 was "largely driven" by 78.4 percent year-over-year growth in tablet shipments — more than 128 million units.  Analysts expect tablet shipments to surpass desktop PCs in 2013, and portable PCs in 2014.
