
Courage Center Jr. Rolling Timberwolves Try for 'Three-Peat'
Four Courage Center teams will compete at 2010 National Wheelchair Basketball Association Championship, April 7-10 in Denver, Colo.
MINNEAPOLIS, April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Minnesota-based Courage Center is sending four teams to next week's National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) championship in Denver. The teams include three junior teams: defending national champs the Jr. Rolling Timberwolves and Rolling Rowdies, and the Jr. Rolling Gophers. The adult Rolling Timberwolves team will also compete.
The Jr. Rolling Timberwolves includes some of the best young wheelchair basketball players in the nation. The team won national championships the past two seasons and will try for an unprecedented third consecutive championship and 5th title in the Junior Division. The tournament features the top 16 teams in the country.
Members of Courage Center's 2009-10 Jr. Rolling Timberwolves team are:
- Derrick Bisnett, Bismarck, N.D., a junior at Century High School
- Jon Bluem, Eden Prairie, Minn., a senior at Eden Prairie High School
- Thomas Bowlin, Eagan, Minn., a senior at Eagan High School
- Luke Braun, Mounds View, Minn., a sophomore at Irondale High School
- Mark Braun, Mounds View, Minn., a sophomore at Irondale High School
- Joe Dixon, Lakeville, Minn., a junior at Lakeville North
- Robert Doyle, Eden Prairie, Minn., a junior at Eden Prairie High School
- Rose Hollerman, Elysian, Minn., an 8th grader at Waterville-Elysian-Morristown School
- Guthrie Lindquist, Mankato, Minn., a sophomore at Mankato West High School
- Josh Scanlon, Delano, Minn., a senior at Watertown-Mayer High School
- Robbie Wilhelm, New Brighton, Minn., a senior at Irondale High School
The Jr. Rolling Timberwolves team is coached by Mike Bauler, Minneapolis, sports coordinator at Courage Center.
