Courtyard San Diego Sorrento Mesa/La Jolla Welcomes New General Manager

SAN DIEGO, Dec. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Hospitality industry leader Marriott International proudly appoints Christian Paulsen as the new general manager of the Courtyard San Diego Sorrento Mesa/La Jolla.

Beginning his hospitality career at the Denver Marriott Southeast in 1996, Paulsen joined the industry as a bell hop and PBX operator. In 2002, he accepted his first general manager appointment at the Denver Cherry Creek Fairfield Inn. Paulsen then took over the reins at the Salt Lake City Airport Residence Inn two years later.

In 2005, Paulsen moved to the Anaheim Marriott where he served as the At Your Service manager, then returned to Colorado in 2006 as the Denver/Aurora Fairfield Inn GM and DOS. Paulsen later took the opportunity to return to California as the assistance general manager at the Torrance Residence Inn. Most recently, he has served as the general manager of the Torrance South Bay Courtyard since 2011.

During his free time, Paulsen enjoys spending time with his family and taking them on weekend adventures to favorite theme parks such as LEGOLAND, SeaWorld and Disneyland.
