MANCHESTER, Conn., March 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Cox Communications announced today that Advanced TV customers in Enfield are now able to enjoy Yankees baseball games with the addition of the YES Network to the channel lineup.

The YES Network, the most-watched regional sports network in the country the past eight years, features the 27-time World Champion New York Yankees and the New Jersey Nets. YES, which has earned 235 Emmy Award nominations and 49 Emmy Awards since launch, also televises original biography, interview and magazine programs, in addition to college sports.

YES is on channel 31 in standard definition and 724 in HD. TruTV will be moved from channel 31 to 96, and Cox Shopping Channel will move from 96 to 97 (channel 15 for TVs without a digital receiver).

"Cox has always offered a great value for sports fans, and the YES Network is the perfect addition for fans of New York-area teams," said Doreen Studley, vice president of marketing, Cox New England. "Plus, Cox customers can see more than 400 Major League Baseball games in crystal clear HD without paying additional HD programming fees."

The YES Network televises 127 regular season Yankees games, pre- and post-game shows, as well as spring training games. There are also many other Yankees-themed programs including Yankeeography. Eighty-two regular season Nets games are televised, plus preseason and playoff games, and pre- and post-game shows for all Nets telecasts.

YES also features original programming like CenterStage, featuring intimate sit-down interviews with superstars of sports and entertainment conducted by YES's Michael Kay in front of a studio audience; This Week in Football, focusing on the Giants, Jets, and other news from around the NFL; and the Emmy-nominated Forbes SportsMoney tackles the latest news and issues concerning the business of sports.

All Advanced TV customers in Connecticut can now enjoy the YES Network in their homes. The addition of YES Network comes on the heels of SNY, which was added to the lineup in 2010.
