@CPRSNATIONAL Welcomes Five New Members to College of Fellows
TORONTO, Dec. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ - The Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) is pleased to welcome five new members to the Society's College of Fellows. The CPRS National Canadian Public Relations Conference in Victoria, B.C., June 10-12, will host the annual College of Fellows Luncheon. The new Fellows will be recognized at the Luncheon for their achievement. The 2012 Fellows are:
- Marcel Barthe ARP, FSCRP (Quebec)
- Diana Barkley APR, FCPRS (Vancouver)
- Joanne H. Fortin ARP, FSCRP(Quebec)
- Ange Frymire Fleming APR, FCPRS (Vancouver)
- Lynn McGregor APR, FCPRS (Toronto)
Established in 1998, the College of Fellows recognizes CPRS members who are proven leaders in their communities and the public relations and communications industry. There are currently 74 members in the College of Fellows, including this year's inductees, and 22 Honorary Fellows. Fellows are appointed on the recommendation of the College's Evaluation and Selection Committee.
To qualify for Fellowship status, a member must have 20 years experience practicing public relations or communications management, be a CPRS member for at least 10 years, and have obtained their accreditation in public relations (APR). The member must also be recognized as having brought a significant contribution to the profession or to the Canadian Public Relations Society.
