SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- C.R. England is the fastest growing major company in the trucking and transportation industry according to an annual survey published in the July 22, 2013 edition of Transport Topics, the official newspaper of trucking and freight transportation.
This reported revenue growth further promotes England's position as an industry growth leader and reinforces the company's position as the nation's largest temperature-controlled carrier.
The most notable improvements in the survey show C.R. England experiencing a 31.2 percent improvement in Refrigerated Revenue Growth, extending its lead among competitors. This growth is significant since it represents a revenue pattern that has almost doubled since 2007.
"We are pleased with the continued growth and expansion of our business again this past year," said Chad England, Chief Executive Officer. "Our success in both revenue growth and other important measurements is in great measure a result of a renewed emphasis on focusing our business vision on our drivers, our customers and our employees, which makes C.R. England an employer and motor carrier of choice. We're proud of the work we do in effectively delivering for our customers and in further strengthening our relationships with drivers and employees nationwide."
The survey also showed the company ranked first in Employee Growth (2,754), second in both Capacity (1,245) and Tractor Growth (1,245) and fifth in Container Growth (399). C.R. England is ranked as the nation's 19th largest carrier, up two spots from 2011 rankings.
The 2012 Transport Topics 100 is an annual survey of the largest for-hire and private company motor carriers.
