For more than ten years, and throughout Sheriff Jimmie Sooter's three terms in office, Craig County Jail has been a loyal Securus customer. According to Lieutenant Bobby Floyd, they consider their relationship with Securus, "the best we've had with any vendor," and they have benefited from piloting many of the company's innovative solutions designed to connect more calls and drive more revenue and profit for facilities.
"Most recently, we've had a lot of success with Securus' Prepaid Calling Card Vending Machine," said Sooter. "Since we installed it roughly two months ago, we've just about doubled our prepaid card sales. It's also my most profitable revenue stream when compared with other commissary goods. We love it."
Securus' Prepaid Calling Card Vending Machine allows inmates' friends and family (F&F) members to purchase calling cards for their incarcerated loved ones from a self-service vending machine. The machine is installed in a facility's lobby, and enables convenient, self-service access to prepaid calling cards.
Sooter continued, "F&F members love the vending machine because they know what they'll be getting—calls from their loved ones. They also like the convenience of buying cards in our lobby without having to ask for assistance from facility staff."
"Craig County is a terrific Securus customer," said Lisa Weaver, Securus Account Manager. "Throughout our relationship, they've been a strong supporter in helping us explore new ways for increasing call volume and revenue for facilities." She continued, "They're always looking for new and innovative ways that they can connect inmates to their friends and family members. In doing so, they show a real commitment to their constituents."
