CRANE ChemPharma Flow Solutions™ Launches New Saunders® Products at INTERPHEX 2011

CINCINNATI, March 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- CRANE ChemPharma Flow Solutions™ is pleased to introduce two new products from its Saunders® brand during INTERPHEX 2011 (March 29-31, New York, NY). The Saunders PV Life Science Diaphragm and the Saunders S360 Actuator will each be on display in the CRANE ChemPharma booth (#3413) and will be presented privately to Crane's distributors during a "Partnership in Growth" customer event that the company will host off-site on Wednesday, March 30. Additionally, Crane will be promoting its Saunders Diaphragm Valves as ASME BPE compliant, in line with the new global standards that influence the design construction of bio-processing equipment and systems.

Saunders® S360 Actuator

The Saunders S360 Actuator features a modular air cylinder range that delivers excellent dimensional envelope and closure performance. Its full 360 degree rotation capability allows for flexible installation and air port alignment, and its corrosion-resistant profile is well-suited for clean manufacturing areas. This combination of quality performance and hygienic design makes the S360 appropriate for BioPharm applications including clean utilities, fermentation and downstream processing.

Saunders® PV Life Science Diaphragm

Designed specifically for use during passivation of stainless steel systems in Life Science applications, the Saunders PV Life Science Diaphragm features a high visibility, bright yellow tag that extends outside the valve assembly to remind end-users to replace it after each use. Additional benefits include reduced cost versus single-use PTFE diaphragms, and its 100% interchangeability with the Saunders Life Science PTFE diaphragm range.

ResistoPure® Stratus™

In addition to the new products from its Saunders brand, Crane will also showcase trusted technologies from its ResistoPure brand, including its ResistoPure Stratus™, the first Teflon® PTFE-lined silicone hose. Utilizing a combination of materials, the Stratus' hybrid design minimizes the possibility of debris collection, entrapment or contamination in the Flexible Hose Assembly (FHA).

Crane's Technical Paper No. 410 (TP410)

Crane's 2009 edition, Technical Paper No. 410 (TP-410) will also be on display at the company's booth, and several copies will be raffled off daily for attendees. Crane's TP410 is a technical resource for engineers, designers and engineering students that explains the flow of fluid through valves, pipes and fittings to aid in the appropriate selection of equipment for piping systems.
