CREATEA Mighty Mango Concept Beverage Will Be Unveiled at SupplySide Global 2025
Cutting-edge formula will feature creatine and mental energy benefits with a trend-forward sensory and packaging experience
LAS VEGAS, Oct. 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- CREATEA Project Coordinator PricePlow announced today that at SupplySide Global 2025, a consortium of ingredient innovators, formulating experts and marketing and packaging design companies working in collaboration will unveil a concept beverage that will ignite dialogue on the future of formulating in the functional beverage category. The concept product is called CREATEA Mighty Mango. CREATEA is a 12 oz RTD canned beverage that will feature the health and performance benefits of creatine and mental energy via two scientifically validated ingredients. It will also feature innovative natural caffeine, non-sugar sweetener and flavor components responding to leading lifestyle trends in the beverage market. This new concept product expands on the successful XPO NRG concept beverage showcased at SupplySide 2024 (see video on the project here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9H6OdKuHuZM), CREATEA will be available to sample at multiple locations on the SupplySide Global show floor.
According to Joey Savage, CEO of Savage Nutra and CREATEA's formulator, this year's project built upon the success of XPO NRG with some new goals. "Creatine has been a hot ingredient in the sports nutrition market for its muscle performance benefits for years. With this formulation, we wanted to break creatine out of that box for a more mainstream audience and highlight some of the other health benefits it can offer. Glanbia's CreaBev® is an innovative form of creatine that is ideal for beverages, allowing beverage formulators to achieve soluble and stable creatine formulations with less degradation," he said. Ben Kane, President of PricePlow and CREATEA Project Coordinator added that "As creatine gains recognition not only for muscle strength but also for brain health, its combination with Zynamite S® positions this concept at the forefront of performance innovation. Zynamite S from PLT Health Solutions is redefining what mental energy can be, with two remarkable clinical studies completed in the last year backing performance that people can feel in just 30 minutes. It is also made from mango leaves, which inspired our flavor concept," he added.
Asked what was different about this year's innovation and production process, Kane explained: "For SupplySide 2024, we set out to prove what's possible when competitors put differences aside and collaborate, showcasing how a host of branded ingredients from across the industry can unite to deliver broad health benefits and elevate the category as a whole. For CREATEA, we focused on a beverage innovation goal but wanted to more closely emulate the product development process you see in the industry – including cost considerations. The formulation you see in CREATEA Mighty Mango could go straight to market," he said. Savage also stated, "This year we wanted to take a more 'natural' approach to things. We wanted natural flavors and sweeteners to be one of the main differences between this year's and last year's products."
Other featured ingredients in CREATEA include SweetVantage®, a branded natural sweetener ingredient developed by NNB Nutrition. Also included is InnovaBean®, a branded natural alternative to synthetic caffeine produced by NutriScience Innovations. Rounding out companies who worked on the development of the beverage are Savage Nutra, instrumental in developing the formula, ADM who developed the flavor system and Lacore Nutraceuticals who managed filling and manufacturing. Nutramedia led the bold branding and package design, while McDowell Label executed state-of-the-art flexographic sleeve printing, creating packaging that demands attention and reinforces the innovation inside the can.
Said Kane: "I can't thank the people and companies who worked on this project enough. I've said before that competition happens at the bottom; collaboration happens at the top. PricePlow and the contributing companies invite attendees to visit the participating booths at SupplySide Global 2025 to experience CREATEA, and witness the next generation of performance beverage formulating, where they will learn what can be accomplished when competition is set aside, and collaboration takes the lead.
