Creative delivers cloud-based application for NRCS to manage a $250M annual conservation award program
MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Creative Systems and Consulting, a leading federal provider in cloud-based implementations, announced that it successfully delivered to United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) the Conservation Activity Evaluation Tool (CAET) in December 2016. The impetus for CAET was the Agricultural Act of 2014 (H.R. 2642), also known as 2014 Farm Bill. This act of Congress authorized $956 billion in spending for nutrition and agriculture programs.
NRCS Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) helps agricultural producers maintain and improve conservation systems by providing financial and technical assistance to implement conservation practices. CAET tool allowed field employees to significantly boost efficiency by streamlining data entry and analysis related to screening applicants for CSP eligibility. CSP is one of the largest conservation programs, with projected total awards up to $252 million and coverage of over 70+million acres of agricultural and forest land. Creative developed the CAET automation application on world leading cloud platform offered by Salesforce.com.
