Crestline Hotels & Resorts Announces the Appointment of Valerie Smith as General Manager for the Courtyard Charlottesville Hotel - University Medical Center, VA

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Jan. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Crestline Hotels & Resorts, Inc. today announced the promotion of Valerie Smith to General Manager for the Courtyard by Marriott Charlottesville – University Medical Center, VA.  The 137 guestroom hotel includes seven suites and 1500 square feet of meeting space.  It is located in downtown Charlottesville and is in close proximity to many historic sites including Monticello, Michie Tavern and the University of Virginia Medical Center.  

Ms. Smith joined Crestline Hotels & Resorts in 2001 as a Sales Manager for the Staybridge Suites, Stratford, CT.  She was subsequently promoted to Assistant General Manager where she oversaw hiring, training, personnel development and various other operations functions for the hotel.  She began her hospitality industry career in 1994 with Residence Inn by Marriott.
