Crisis Care Network is Expanding into Canada
TORONTO, April 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - U.S. critical incident response leader Crisis Care Network (CCN) today announced it is expanding delivery of its services into Canada as of July 1, 2012. This is the first time the company has intentionally developed capabilities outside of the U.S.
Introduced through a strategic alliance with Canadian based employee assistance program (EAP) provider, Family Services Employee Assistance Program (FSEAP), CCN will deliver crisis response interventions to organizations across Canada through a network of local, specially-trained and credentialed providers. CCN has begun an aggressive nation-wide training program to update counselors regarding best practices in the delivery of psychological first aid to the workplace.
"CCN and FSEAP are driven by the same guiding principles and values, which helped to build a strong foundation for the delivery of enriched evidence-informed crisis response interventions in Canada," said Bob VandePol, President, CCN. "This alliance will help us provide companies across Canada with a strong support system founded in best-practices following workplace tragedies" VandePol continued.
Founded in 1997, CCN delivers critical incident response and trauma support on behalf of EAP organizations, insurance carriers, and direct to employers in the U.S, providing over 1,000 crisis response interventions every month. Their approach to crisis intervention favours a blend of clinically sound support to employees impacted by workplace crises while providing customers with metrics and business value. The goal is to enable employees to successfully and quickly return to life function and productive work; a win-win situation for both the employee and employer. "Do the right thing and it's good for business", commented VandePol.
"CCN has a stellar reputation for supporting employees and organizations through very challenging times. We are extremely excited to add their proven capabilities to our rich programming. Canadian organizations and employees will truly benefit from this level of care and experience," said Keith Harding, President, FSEAP.
