Criterions EHR Receives ONC-ATCB Certification by Drummond Group
GREAT NECK, N.Y., Dec. 20, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Criterions EHR has received the federal government's "meaningful use" stamp of approval by earning Complete EHR Ambulatory certification. The designation officially deems the electronic health record (EHR) software capable of enabling providers to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Tested and certified under the Drummond Group's Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) program, the EHR software is 2011/2012 compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Says Raj Mathur, CTO: "The certification validates that our software can help providers take part in the electronic revolution that is reverberating across the healthcare industry. Healthcare providers can now leverage our software to not only make significant care improvements but to also achieve meaningful use and qualify for incentive funds under ARRA. We are proud to offer providers the opportunity to truly improve care in their communities. Some of the highlights of the Criterions EHR are:
- Handwriting capture
- Learns how doctors think
- Web-based
- Customizable
- Real-time Quality Measures Dashboard for Meaningful Use
- Integrated Labs
- Multiple data views (timelines / visits)
- Integrated faxing
- Patient portal
- SaaS (Software as a Service)."
Drummond Group's ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that EHRs meet the meaningful use criteria for either eligible provider or hospital technology. In turn, healthcare providers using the EHR systems of certified vendors are qualified to receive federal stimulus monies upon demonstrating meaningful use of the technology -- a key component of the federal government's push to improve clinical care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHRs by U.S. healthcare providers.
The Criterions EHR, which met the requirements for Complete EHR Ambulatory, has been developed over the years with the knowledge that one size does not fit all. Determining what a practice's goals are allows Criterions to tailor a system to meet your needs today and grow to achieve your goals tomorrow. As a web-based product, the Criterions EHR is focused on accessibility, customization, and the flexibility to see patients your way. With integrated documents, labs, E&M coding, billing and more, the Criterions EHR has all clinical needs met. By offering more ways for practices to enter information, from dictation to handwriting to templates to transcription, Criterions has a system designed to not only meet the needs of the practice, but fit the personality of the provider.
