Crow Point Investment Management and 20 Gates Management Announce Strategic Partnership

BOSTON and NEW YORK, July 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Crow Point Investment Management LLC ("CPIM") a subsidiary of Crow Point Partners, LLC ("Crow Point"), and 20 Gates Management LLC ("20 Gates") today announced a strategic partnership. As part of the affiliation, 20 Gates will make a minority investment in CPIM.

20 Gates and CPIM will share their considerable experience managing fixed income strategies and asset classes, and each firm will be appointed a sub-advisor for certain fixed income strategies currently managed. Charles Chen, who will become Chief Investment Officer of CPIM, and who was previously Chief Investment Officer at 20 Gates, and Josh Borg, Managing Director and Co-Founder of 20 Gates, will work closely together to build on the strategic partnership. Mr. Chen previously served as President and Chief Investment Officer of Newfleet Asset Management and brings extensive market knowledge and investment expertise to Crow Point, having managed over $50 billion in client assets in various fixed-income and specialty asset strategies.
