crowdSPRING Launches New Service to Crowdsource Copywriting Projects
CHICAGO, Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- crowdSPRING (http://www.crowdspring.com) today announced its new service for copywriting projects, including everything from company and product names to website content and newsletter articles. Now, anyone in the world can post a project for something they need written, name their own price and watch a community of more than 50,000 creatives from around the world submit ideas to choose from.
Just like crowdSPRING's existing logo and custom graphic design services – easy, effective and affordable for small businesses – entrepreneurs and startups alike now have the opportunity to post projects and use the power or crowdsourcing to find the best talent for any written materials they might need.
"After launching crowdSPRING less than two years ago, we're excited to launch the first of what will be many future expansions to our service offerings," said Mike Samson, co-founder of crowdSPRING. "As we quickly approach our 10,000th project to date, our model for creative services has proven itself invaluable to both small and large businesses, so it's only natural the same model will work for writing."
Similar to its graphic design offerings, crowdSPRING's writing services have been broken down into several distinct categories, which will inevitably evolve over time as the platform matures, including:
- Naming: company, product, domain
- Business: marketing materials, technical documents, resumes, presentations and speeches, articles, reports and proposals, business plans, books (and eBooks), taglines
- Online: blogs, newsletters, online marketing materials, web content, SEO/SEM key words
- Creative: essays and stories, scripts, books (and eBooks), lyrics and poetry
- Editing and Proofreading: all written materials
One of crowdSPRING's first writing projects comes from the City of Chicago Treasurer's Office, which is tapping crowdSPRING's new writing services for the Elevator Pitch portion of its annual business plan competition. The City Treasurer's Office is encouraging Chicago businesses to put their best foot forward – and fast – by submitting a clear and concise written elevator pitch, which must be 30 seconds or less. To see the project, visit http://www.crowdspring.com/project/2282789_city-of-chicago-elevator-pitch/details/.
The best elevator pitch will win $500 in cash and a free exhibitor booth ($350 minimum value) at the Small Business Expo on July 17, 2010, to present their service or product before an expected crowd of more than 2,000 and 125 exhibitors. The winning entry will be given the title of "Best Small Business Elevator Pitch" and a link on the City Treasurer's Office Web site (www.chicagocitytreasurer.com) for one year. Only businesses in the City of Chicago are eligible to win.
"I have made helping Chicago small businesses a top priority of my Office," said Chicago City Treasurer Stephanie Neely. "By using crowdSPRING for our annual competition, we're hoping to get some amazing elevator pitches. We're optimistic we'll find the talent we need and build buzz around our competition, and hope the innovative submission process will help drive participation and attendance around our business plan competition."
With more than 50,000 creatives from more than 170 countries across the globe, crowdSPRING's writing projects have the potential to garner the attention of some of the greatest creative talent from around the world.
