World's best Arm Wrestlers compete at 37th NYC Big Apple Grapple International Sponsored by Quantum Wellness Healing Center and Spa
FLUSHING, N.Y., April 23, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The New York Arm Wrestling Association (NYAWA) announced today that Quantum Wellness Healing Center and Spa is sponsoring the 37th Annual NYC Big Apple Grapple International Arm Wrestling Championships and crowning of the 2014 King and Queen of Arms. The event will be hosted and held at Cheap Shots Sports Bar (149-05 Union Turnpike Flushing, NY 11367) Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 1 p.m. Entry fees are $25 for amateurs, $30 for pros and $10 for women, which includes a free sponsor T-shirt. Competition is open to the public age 18 years and older, and divided into right and left hand, amateur and pro weight catigories for men and women. There is a $5 admission charge for spectators. Contestants are urged to register between 9 am to 12:50 pm as the event begins at 1 pm sharp. More than 100+ athletes and teams are expected to participate, locally from the five NYC Boroughs, Long Island and Upstate NY and from as far away as Turkey, Russia and Puerto Rica. First, second and third place winners will receive custom medallions. The overall strongest male and female MVP's will be crowned King and Queen of Arms and receive $100 cash prizes. Teams will be grouped by Borough, State, and Country, with a point tally to determine the winning team and Award.
