Crumley Roberts Law Firm Kicks off its 2012 Scholarship Program

GREENSBORO, N.C., Jan. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- With the current state of the economy, college-bound students have had a harder time securing financial aid. Crumley Roberts Law Firm wants to help students to pursue their educational goals. Each year, the firm awards multiple North Carolina students with $1,000 scholarships and an iPad.

"Giving back to the communities we serve has always been a main focus of Crumley Roberts," CEO Chris Roberts said. "In fact, we've provided close to $130,000 in scholarships and computers in the past six years because we believe in standing up for our children's futures." The Crumley Roberts Chairman's Scholarship is designed for North Carolina high school seniors who will be attending a four-year college or university in the fall. This is a community involvement-based scholarship and the firm is looking for students who have made significant contributions to their local and/or global communities.

The Crumley Roberts Next-Step Scholarship is designed for North Carolina community college students who are transferring to a four-year college or university in the fall to continue their education. Students must have a 2.5 GPA or higher, and they will be judged on their written essays regarding their education and career goals.

A brand new addition this year is the Crumley Roberts Extreme Dorm Makeover Giveaway. It is open to North Carolina residents headed to a college or university in the state. The winner will receive a prize package valued at $1,200 to transform his/her dorm room. Details for the contest can be found on the firm's Facebook Page.

The deadline for applying for the Chairman's and Next-Step scholarships is March 1, and winners will be announced on or around April 1.
