CU Women's Council's Leadership Summit Nearing Sell-Out On April 4
The WILD Summit II is expecting a packed crowd next week, offers new 'bazaar' for women-run businesses and non-profits whose missions are to help women all across the world
BOULDER, Colo., March 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Women's Council, part of CU's Leeds School of Business, today announced it is rapidly selling out for its annual Women Inspiring Leadership Development (WILD) Summit II next week on April 4 at the Westin in Westminster. The event is a one-of-a-kind venue for bringing women across all industries, career levels and interests together to share, network and learn from each other.
This year's program also includes an international bazaar (http://leedswomenscouncil.org/wild-ii-bazaar.html). The bazaar will be held at the end of the event (during time set aside for attendees to continue their conversations) and is designed to feature a handful of women-run businesses and non-profits whose missions are to help serve women across the world. The vendors will offer a wide variety of artisan clothing, handbags and accessories available to purchase via cash or possibly credit card.
Organizers of the WILD Summit II also said Sheila Paxton, founder and president of Intentional Relationships, will now serve as the closing motivational speaker (http://leedswomenscouncil.org/sheila-paxton.html). During the technology boom, Paxton sold her company and launched an organization focused on her passion - Intentional Relationships. Through this company, she coaches people to develop authentic and purposeful relationships in all facets of their lives – business, personal and romance. She has developed a proprietary program called, Fit4love, and her goal is to reduce the divorce rate in the United States.
Paxton has been praised as a professional speaker and coach. She was recognized as an influential "training renegade" by Working Woman magazine and is a sought-after speaker on business trends and best practices for conferences and executive briefings worldwide.
"This year's WILD Summit is going to offer so many wonderful things for women in all stages of their careers," said Cindy Carrillo, event chair for the WILD Summit II. "We are so excited to bring such important topics to the forefront of discussion at this event. We are sure everyone – regardless if they are a student, a young professional or a woman in the latter part of her career – will find this a rewarding and gratifying experience. There is so much we can learn from each other and WILD's purpose is just that – bringing together amazing people. Together, we can raise the awareness for increased women leadership and develop ways to improve upon that each and every day across the globe."
The WILD Summit will take place April 4, 2014 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Westin Hotel in Westminster. Registration will be closed at 500 women. Interested attendees are encouraged to sign up now at (https://www.regonline.com/Register/Checkin.aspx?EventID=1347460).
