Cubbison Company Acquires Drake Labels of Austin, Texas

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio, June 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Cubbison Company has taken a significant step to establish leadership in the graphic product identification and printed electronics fields, with the announcement of its acquisition of Drake Industries, Inc. dba Drake Labels of Austin, Texas. The addition of the central Texas facility will enable Cubbison to meet growing customer demand for their products throughout North America.

Cubbison's suite of durable graphic products such as etched stainless steel nameplates will be sold regionally by Drake's business development team. "All the employees at the Austin location are excited about this announcement and what it will do for the future of the company," says Tim Moore, who is being retained as Chief Operating Officer of Drake. The addition of membrane switches, silicone rubber keypads and touch screens are a few of the new products Drake will now offer.

Drake's printed labels are found on a variety of products such as computer servers and electronics, medical diagnostic systems, and numerous gauges and metering devices.  Drake, which was founded in 1966, manufactures durable metal nameplates for the Oil and Gas industry and has long term supplier relationships with hundreds of manufacturers throughout the central Texas region. Drake produced nameplates and labeling for every Space Shuttle and Apollo mission that flew to the moon.

Cubbison, founded in 1951, has been leading the way in providing innovative product identification solutions to a variety of industries. In early 2009, Cubbison applied its extensive knowledge of printing and entered the fast growing field of printed electronics which include products such as membrane switches, touch screens and copper flex circuits.
