Curious Chef® To Attend 2013 Toy Fair
Unveiling Three New Products
OCONOMOWOC, Wis., Jan. 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Curious Chef®, the only complete kitchen and utensil line designed specifically for children, has announced that they will be attending the 2013 International Toy Fair, February 10 – 13, 2013 in New York.
The International Toy Fair, which takes place at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, is the biggest international toy tradeshow in the Western Hemisphere. The show features the newest toy innovations and must have products. It is a key trade event for toy retailers and manufacturers as well as importers, licensors and reps on a global scale.
Curious Chef® will be unveiling some exciting additions to their product line at Toy Fair 2013, including a new 11-piece Chef Kit made specifically for boys. "We are excited about the boy's Chef Kit. Many people wrongly believe that cooking is just for girls, but we know all too well that both boys and girls love to help out in the kitchen. This kit is a welcome addition to our line," notes John Wilde, President of Curious Chef®. The kit comes complete with a chef's apron in vivid blue and lime green, as well as a silicone spatula and whisk with lime green accents, a blue star cookie cutter, a large poly mixing spoon and a six-piece measuring spoon set. "It includes all the basic tools that every little chef needs to give mom and dad a hand in the kitchen," Wilde adds.
Along with the Boy's Chef Kit, Curious Chef® will also be introducing a 16-piece Cookie Cutter Collection that includes a wide variety of seasonally shaped cookie cutters (angel, star, tree, gingerbread man, duck, rabbit, flower, butterfly, heart, bear, cat, pumpkin, leaf, ghost, clover and snowman) and a Curious Chef® Utensil Caddy, which conveniently stores and carries several of the line's most popular tools. "We are thrilled to be expanding our line with these items, each of which offers children a unique experience with functional kitchen tools that are designed specifically for their needs," Wilde indicates.
The brand will also be introducing their new product packaging designs at Toy Fair. They plan to roll out the new packaging for every Curious Chef product throughout the 2013 calendar year. The packaging designs will include graphic themes based on specific utensil groups, and will speak directly to the suggested product usage. Additionally, each product design will include a "Learning by Doing" section with tips for food preparation and utensil use. Bright colors and fresh graphics will give a whimsical feel and add fun to the child friendly design. Delicious recipes, printed on each package, will provide the consumer a starting point for family cooking exploration, and creating precious memories. "Our new packaging creates a sense of real fun for our products. Additionally, the experiential elements of the design provide prompts for caretakers to help create hours of family fun and special moments."
Curious Chef® will be offering daily product demonstrations throughout the show, which will give visitors the opportunity to personally try several different tools. Product demonstration times will take place at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday, February 10; 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, February 11 and 12; and 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 13.
