Curt Swindoll Joins Pursuant Group as Executive Vice President

DALLAS, Jan. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Pursuant Group, a full-service fundraising and communications consulting firm, recently announced that Curt Swindoll was named executive vice president of strategy and integration, effective Jan. 3, 2011. Swindoll has more than 25 years of experience in strategic and operational leadership and has worked extensively in donor development and marketing for mission-minded organizations. Swindoll will lead the strategic development of Pursuant's services to the faith-based market. He will also manage the integration of acquisitions and services across all Pursuant Group brands.

Prior to his new post, Swindoll was executive vice president of strategic initiatives for Energy Education, a privately held professional services company working with K-12 public school systems, universities and large churches on behavior-based energy conservation. After leading a complete overhaul of the company's brand, Energy Education experienced significant core market growth. Swindoll also expanded Energy Education's services into several new markets.

Before his tenure at Energy Education, Swindoll spent more than six years as founder/CEO of Cool Strategies, a national consulting firm working with nonprofits on strategic planning, board development, mission/vision development, fundraising and donor development, technology integration, sales and product development, and operational best practices. Swindoll coached well-known ministries including Insight for Living, Desiring God, Family Life Communications, Walk Thru the Bible, Stand to Reason, Reasonable Faith and WAY-FM Media Group.

Swindoll also spent 10 years in executive leadership at Insight for Living, an internationally recognized Christian nonprofit radio ministry that airs in 18 languages on 1,200 stations in the U.S. and several hundred other stations around the world. As executive vice president and chief operating officer, Swindoll defined operational vision and corporate culture and mentored key leaders of the ministry, increasing organizational revenue by 50 percent with no significant change to the organization's core ministry programs.

Swindoll has spoken at numerous conferences and workshops on nonprofit management, fundraising and other leadership topics. He taught a masters-level nonprofit leadership program at Biola University for four years, and is a thought leader in fundraising, leadership and strategy. His articles have been published in Christian Management Report, Insight for Living's newsletter, and the Engstrom Institute Knowledge Resource Center. Swindoll holds a Presidential/Key Executive MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif.
