Cyprio Wins Women Startup Challenge Europe HealthTech

WASHINGTON and PARIS, Oct. 8, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Cyprio is the winner of Women Who Tech's European-leg of its flagship Women Startup Challenge and will bring home an equity-free $50,000 cash grant. The Paris-based company is redefining predictive research tools for drug and toxicity testing in the human liver.

The winner was announced last night - on the evening of Ada Lovelace Day - at Paris City Hall, Hôtel de Ville after 10 finalists pitched their ventures to investors and global health leaders Sarah Fisher, Senior Director of Global Markets, External Innovation, Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices at Johnson & Johnson; Jean-Louis Missika, Deputy Mayor of Paris; Anne Horgan, Partner of Advent France Biotechnology, and Eamonn Carey, Managing Director of Techstars London.

Cyprio is redefining 3D cell culture. They developed the "BioPearl technology", allowing the fabrication of 3D cellular models of human livers to provide better predictive research tools for drug efficacy and toxicity screening.
