FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., April 2, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, D-Link released the D-Link AC2600 Wi-Fi Router Powered by McAfee (DIR-2680), an all-in-one Wi-Fi solution that automatically increases security for devices on the home network and delivers on both companies' vision to address the pressing need for comprehensive online security that applies to the whole home and all the devices in it.
The solution includes D-Link's high-performance dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi router with MU-MIMO technology that enhances network capacity and efficiency for users, McAfee Secure Home Platform that automatically adds additional protection to all devices connected to the network, and an Intel® Home Wi-Fi Chipset to deliver robust Wi-Fi connectivity to numerous connected devices at the same time, running a range of high-bandwidth applications.

The new D-Link AC2600 Wi-Fi Router Powered by McAfee immediately and automatically helps better secure all connected devices at the network level in a home, providing an additional layer of protection from potential hackers and for members of the home using devices and accessing online content. Comprehensive parental control features provide customized protection for children in the household, including content filtering and the ability to pause and set time limits on internet use. To activate and take advantage of these advanced security features and parental controls, consumers need to download the D-Fend app (Android, iOS).
McAfee's Global Threat Intelligence features adaptable machine learning that protects by preventing, detecting, and correcting malicious malware and attacks, which enables a safer internet browsing experience for consumers. Additionally, the AC2600 Wi-Fi Router Powered by McAfee is easily set up through an app and can be managed from anywhere with the McAfee Secure Home Platform app.
The router also provides intuitive voice control integration with Amazon Alexa. The voice commands range between checking how many devices are on a network, checking a network status and reading notifications out loud, pausing the internet for one or more people, and running network vulnerability scans that provide a list of measures people can do to increase the security of their router.
