NEW YORK, Sept. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Dahlman Rose & Company, LLC, a leading investment bank specializing in the global natural resources supply chain, announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Robert C. Meier, the firm's current Head of Sales & Trading, as Chief Executive Officer. Kim S. Fennebresque, the firm's Chairman and Chief Executive Office, has elected to retire.

Mr. Meier joined Dahlman Rose in December of 2011 as the firm's Head of Sales & Trading. He has over 12 years of experience in equities management, having most recently served as the Head of Equities at Gleacher & Company. Prior to Gleacher, Mr. Meier was Co-Head of Equities and Head of Sales for Cowen & Company and Head of Research Sales for Soundview Technology group before the company's sale to Charles Schwab in 2004. Mr. Meier received a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and completed his undergraduate degree in Economics at Franklin & Marshall College.
