Dahlman Rose & Co. Further Expands Investment Banking Team in Metals & Mining Industry
Appoints Geoffrey O'Malley as Managing Director
NEW YORK, June 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dahlman Rose & Co., a leading investment bank specializing in the global natural resources supply chain, announced today that it has appointed Geoffrey O'Malley as Managing Director, Investment Banking, effective immediately. In the new position, Mr. O'Malley will be responsible for expanding the firm's investment banking practice in the metals and mining industry, with a particular focus on the steel and downstream metals sectors.

Mr. O’Malley, 41, has more than 12 years of experience in investment banking and corporate finance within the metals industry. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer for European Metals Recycling’s wholly owned U.S. subsidiary, where he led two acquisitions by the company and managed all financial activities. Prior to working in the metals industry, Mr. O’Malley was responsible for investment banking activities in the metals sector for Banc of America Securities, and he has also held senior level positions at Hill Street Capital, CIBC World Markets and Merrill Lynch. To date, Mr. O’Malley has completed investment banking transactions with a combined value of more than $12.5 billion. He began his career as a member of the Entrepreneurial Services Group at Ernst & Young, auditing privately held emerging growth companies across multiple industries.
