MESA, Ariz., Aug. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- This weekend marks a special event for the Dahn Yoga Foundation. The non-profit will host its first charity fundraising event of the year in Sedona, Arizona. Many may not realize that yoga involves more than the time each individual spends on the mat. The Dahn Yoga community of practitioners that are a part of this foundation are finding ways to share the benefits of yoga with their neighbors.

Dahn Yoga Foundation will host a Walk for Children's Laughter to benefit Camp Soaring Eagle, an organization that provides camping opportunities for seriously ill children. While Camp Soaring Eagle is based in Arizona, it provides healthy, supervised fun for hundreds of children and their families nationwide. The program is primarily intended for kids with muscular dystrophy, diabetes, cancer or severe asthma.
The Dahn Yoga Foundation Walk will be held on August 13th at 7:00 AM near Bell Rock in Sedona, Arizona, along the Big Park Loop trail. There is a $10 minimum donation to join the Walk. Participants can gather donations and pledges from others. Those participants who raise $50 or more will be presented with a Walk for Children's Laughter t-shirt. Parking for the event will be available at the Bell Rock South Parking Lot and La Quinta Inn.
Dahn Yoga Foundation would like to thank the Sedona community and area businesses supporting the Walk, especially New Frontiers Natural Marketplace, The Hike House, La Quinta Inn Sedona and Diggs Logo Products.
