Daintree Networks Launches 'Energy Champion' Awards To Honor Industry's Most Effective Energy Savers And Advocates

LOS ALTOS, Calif., APRIL 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of Earth Day, Daintree Networks, Inc., a leading provider of networked wireless control solutions for smart buildings, today announced the first annual Energy Champion Awards.  Nominations are open today for the awards created to honor the efforts of those in the industry who are openly driving awareness to save energy by using technologies and processes to reduce energy consumption in offices, warehouses, retail stores, and other commercial buildings.

The winners in two categories will be announced in late October, as part of Energy Awareness Month.  The Thought Leader award will be given to the person who has made the biggest impact in raising awareness for the need to save energy in the commercial sector in 2013 and 2014. The End User award will be granted to the individual whose efforts have reaped the greatest demonstrated results in terms of reduced energy consumption and overall energy savings within their company.

The awards will be presented during National Energy Awareness Month, begun in 1991 through a presidential proclamation on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy to promote public awareness of the nation's energy needs and available energy options.
