CAMBRIDGE, Mass., June 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Daktari Diagnostics was honored at the 2015 IEEE Spectrum Honors Ceremony with the Technology in the Service of Society Award. IEEE President and CEO, Howard E. Michel, and IEEE President-Elect, Barry L. Shoop presented the award to Principal Scientist Martina Medkova, Ph.D., on behalf of Daktari. The ceremony was held Saturday, June 20, 2015, at the historic Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York, NY.

The story featured clinical testing Daktari performed at a remote fishing village in Uganda in late 2013, highlighting how Daktari's point-of-care CD4 test can reach areas where conventional testing is unavailable.
