Dallas Love Field Airport Cell Phone Lot Moving Temporarily
DALLAS, June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- On Monday, June 7, 2010, the current Dallas Love Field Airport Cell Phone Lot will be temporarily relocated to a larger, more convenient lot.
The Love Field Modernization Program (LFMP) began in 2008 with the vision of expanding and renovating Dallas Love Field Airport in order to create a modern, cohesive facility that will provide efficient travel for many years to come. Renovations include a remodeled lobby, a 20-gate concourse, a new ticketing wing and an updated baggage claim area. The modernization program will make Love Field Airport more efficient by eliminating unused space and replacing it with modern facilities.
Through the Love Field Modernization Program, improvements will be made to better serve Love Field travelers. On Monday, June 7, the current Cell Phone Lot will be relocated to a temporary site just south of its current location. The new site will hold up to 45 vehicles. The temporary Cell Phone Lot is located on the east side of Cedar Springs Road, past both the long-term parking shuttle (The Parking Spot), and the Hertz Rental Car Facility. The temporary lot will facilitate travelers using their cell phones while waiting for airport pick-ups.
About Love Field Modernization Program
The Modernization Program is a six-year effort to increase efficiency for travelers, while maintaining the convenience and low-cost carriers Love Field currently offers. The three original concourses will be consolidated into one, centrally located concourse for all airlines. Because it is the symbolic heart of the terminal, the main lobby will be renovated but will retain its overall structure. From more efficient travel to an increased number of airport concessions, the Modernization Program will create tremendous benefits for Love Field travelers.
