Datacert Appoints Uwe Schneider to Head EMEA Operations, Expands European Staff, and Opens Munich Office

HOUSTON, April 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Datacert, Inc., the premier global provider of software solutions for enterprise legal management, announced today that it has appointed Uwe Schneider, an experienced enterprise software executive, as VP and General Manager, EMEA.  Datacert also expanded its sales staff in Europe, and opened a new corporate office in Munich, Germany.  Strong growth in its EMEA business and the maturing legal and compliance technology market in Europe drove Datacert to expand its investment in the region.  This move is designed to accelerate growth of the company's corporate legal, GRC, and big data analytics businesses in Europe.

Schneider brings to Datacert more than 15 years of enterprise software and industry executive leadership experience.  Prior to joining Datacert, he held various senior management positions in the legal management, enterprise risk and compliance, supply chain, and procurement markets for companies such as Dyadem, Emptoris, WebMethods, Commerce One, and other enterprise software companies.  In doing so, he has gained extensive experience in building large multi-million dollar organizations.

Datacert established its operations in Europe in 2005 and the region's contribution to the company's overall revenue has steadily climbed since then, including strong year-over-year new bookings growth of 88% from 2011-2012.  This growth, as well as evidence of a maturing legal and compliance technology market in Europe, drove the company to increase its investment and expand operations in the region at this time.  The expansion strategy includes an aggressive hiring plan for additional sales, delivery, and customer care staff to support the company's clients across Europe.  The first two hires under this plan are as follows:

Christian Glaessel, Regional Sales Director for the DACH region, is based in Datacert's new Munich office.  He comes to Datacert from IMTF, an international, privately owned software and application integration company, where he was the Head of BU Compliance and Risk Management.  Glaessel brings a strong IT background that includes positions as CIO, Central Europe for State Street, Director of Professional Services, Europe for Misys, and Head of IT for Bankgesellschaft Berlin Investment GmbH.

Marcus de-Layen Vian, Regional Sales Manager for the UK, is based in Datacert's EMEA headquarters in London.  He comes to Datacert from Peppermint Technologies, where he was Head of Sales.  He brings nearly a decade of legal software and services industry experience, having also held positions that include Legal Sales Executive for IRIS Software, Legal Sales Executive for Tikit, and Sales Consultant for Ochresoft Technology.
