Datameer Adds Marketing and Sales Heavyweights to Management Team

(www.datameer.com), a provider of end user analytics solutions built on Apache Hadoop, today announced that Joe Nicholson and Jeff Diller have joined the company as Vice President of Marketing and Director of Sales respectively.  These executives bring over 40 years of success from companies including Informatica, Pentaho, Greenplum/EMC and Informix.

Nicholson is a veteran software marketing executive with experience at startups and publicly traded companies.  Prior to Datameer, Mr. Nicholson served as the vice president of product marketing at Pentaho as well as vice president of marketing at Trintech. Nicholson also served as vice president of marketing and business development at DecisionPoint Software and as vice president of platform marketing at Informatica during their high growth years.

Diller is a veteran technology sales executive with deep experience at building successful sales teams and revenue engines in emerging markets.  Most recently, Diller was Director of Sales for the Western Region and #1 sales producer for Greenplum (acquired by EMC) and also served as Director of Western Region Sales for Active Reasoning and OPSWARE.  He also was a top producer at KIVA leading to their acquisition by Netscape in 1997 and spent 10 years at Informix Software in a variety of sales and support roles.
