ATLANTA, July 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- DataPath, Inc. a leading provider of remote field communications and information technology solutions for the aerospace, government, broadcast, and infrastructure markets announced today the opening of a new office at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. The facility, located at 6170 Guardian Gateway, Suite 110, will provide support for the Army programs located at APG as well as the company's field services engineers stationed around the world.
Aberdeen Proving Ground employs more than 22,000 civilian, military and contractor employees, and is home to the Army's Program Executive Office Command, Control and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T). DataPath has worked closely with PEO C3T in APG for many years, providing satellite communications and field services support. In fact, a majority of the company's 100 plus field services engineers are employed in support of Army programs.
"The Army programs located at APG are an important part of DataPath's business and customer base, and we want to ensure that we are providing the highest level of support and service possible for those initiatives," said Roger Ramos III, Vice President and General Manager for DataPath's U.S. Operations. "Having representation on the ground at Aberdeen is the best way to accomplish this. Our new office location will also serve as the remote home to our field services engineering team."
In addition to field services, DataPath has supplied a variety of satellite communications tools and equipment that help the U.S. Army provide operational flexibility and enhanced situational awareness on the battlefield in support of mission command. The company has deployed thousands of terrestrial satellite communications terminals such as STTs (satellite transportable terminals), and DKETs (deployable kit earth terminals). DataPath also supports Army operations with MaxView monitor and control software, logistics and maintenance services, and more.
"We are excited to have a physical presence at Aberdeen Proving Ground. This new facility represents our commitment and dedication to supporting the mission of the U.S. Army's communications efforts here in the States, as well as over seas," said David Myers, President and CEO of DataPath. "Our field service engineers work side by side with soldiers stationed around the world, and now our U.S. based program management and customer support will be working alongside the programs that support them here at home."
DataPath will be hosting an official grand opening celebration for strategic partners, customers, and associates located in and around APG on August 5, 2015, from 11:00 – 14:00. Please contact Ashley Moore for more information at 678-252-4302 or [email protected].
