CLEVELAND, June 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DATATRAK International, Inc. (OTCQX: DATA), a technology and services company focused on global eClinical solutions for the clinical trials industry, today announced another benefit of the DATATRAK ONE™ solution – the expansion of the Company's industry standards library.
With the continuing development of the DATATRAK eClinical™ product, the Company has increased its utilization of industry standards in its processes and products. The recent deployment of the Safety Export (XML export to E2B) further enhanced the standards in DATATRAK's growing library, which already includes the HL7 import of ECGs and CDISC SDTM data export. As part of its continuing commitment to reducing clients' trial costs, DATATRAK has designed a study library using the CDISC CDASH field naming. Studies can be designed more efficiently using the CDASH library, and variable names are automatically exported to the CDISC Study Data Tabulation Model (SDTM). In addition to domains explicitly defined by CDISC, our library includes over twenty-five standard industry questionnaires, common lab tests and other procedures.
"Helping our clients understand and implement industry standards is an important focus within the services component of DATATRAK ONE™. Not only does DATATRAK's standards library lower trial costs, it decreases deployment timelines," said Laurence Birch, DATATRAK's Chairman of the Board. "Seamless data flow is inherent within our unified platform; however when interfacing with clients' third party systems or other data stores, standards are mandatory in order to maximize trial efficiencies."
